Please note that the Hash Hotel is the Hotel Müllner in the village of Marz (Austrian Postal Code 7221), which is about 1 hours drive South-East of Vienna. The phone number of the hotel is 02626-63967 (or +43-2626-63967), but see the end of this page for more phone numbers if you have problems getting to Marz.
From Vienna
Leave Vienna on the A2, Südautobahn. There will be slow moving traffic, due to roadworks, so the quickest route is get off the A2 as quickly as possibly by taking the A3 exit, following signs to Eisenstadt and Mattersburg. When you get near Eisenstadt, follow signs to Mattersburg along the S31. Now take the Mattersburg exit from the S31, and turn right onto the 50. Follow the 50 until you reach the village sign Marz (do not be tempted to turn right into Mattersburg beforehand). About 200 metres fter reaching the village sign, turn left (following sign Marz). Enter the village, and turn right (following sign Müllner). If you continue on this road (about 700 metres you will see the Müllner on the left). There is a small amount of parking here. Behind the Müllner, there is a very large car park (drive 100 meters back in the direction you came, and you will see the sign Müllner, where you go right and right again to the back entrance of the hotel). You might ask, why didn't I give directions to the car-park in the first place ... well, because the Müllner signs are single-sided ! Don't worry, even you can't get lost!

From the South
For those who are coming from the south, take the A2 to 'Knoten Wiener Neustadt' and take the S4 exit to Mattersburg (Eisenstadt). Exit the S4 at Mattersburg and turn right onto the 50, following directions as above.
For detailed driving instructions from other directions, please use the Michelin Website. Put in your starting city and then city Marz and postcode 7221 in the destination.
Please note that if you are driving from the East or the South (e.g. Budapest or Sarajevo), you do not have to drive to Vienna in order to get to Marz, since Marz is South-east of Vienna.
The railway station is called Marz-Rohrbach. This is located between the villages of Marz and Rohrbach, but quite close to Marz. When you arrive there, call one of the emergency numbers below and we will arrange for you to be picked up. Please note that if you arrive during the run on Friday evening (between 6.30 and 7.30 pm, approximately), you may have to wait for this pick-up.
From Vienna, take a train from the Südbahnhof, change in Wienerneustadt for a train to Marz-Rohrbach, which takes just over one hour (sample timetable).
If you are coming from Budapest, you travel from Budapest Deli via Sopron to Marz-Rohrbach, which takes from 3 to 4 hours (sample timetable).
For planning railway journeys in Europe, the German Railway Website (Deutsche Bahn) seems the most useful.
If you fly to Vienna airport (Schwechat), you can take the train to Marz-Rohrbach (sample timetable), which takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. The journey usually involves several changes at Wien Rennweg, Wien Meidling and Wienerneustadt as you travel in to Vienna and back out again to Marz.
Alternatively, e-mail Glo-Balls the details of flight number and arrival time and we will try to organize a lift.
